About US

helpingoutAll Pets Deserve Vets is a volunteer driven, nonprofit organization that  depends solely on donations from the community for sustainability.

Here in Cancun, it costs a family only 35 pesos per person to see a doctor.  But to see a vet, the cost is anywhere from 250 to 350 pesos for a consult, meaning many animals rarely even see a vet because it’s just too costly.

All Pets Deserve Vets will be paying its vet a monthly salary, so it will eliminate that cost for the people, giving them the access they so desperately need and will provide all care either at cost, or free!   Whatever is donated will be free, whatever we need to pay for will be at cost.  The savings will be extraordinary and will prevent many deaths and animals from suffering from easy to treat illnesses like mange or ringworm.

To give you a better idea of how expensive it can be to treat skin conditions, 1 shot of ivermectin to treat mange at cost is around 10 pesos including the cost of the syringe, the ivermectin and the cotton ball and alcohol to clean the injection site.  Most animals will require 4 to 8 injections depending on the severity of the case.  To go to a vet to get the injection, the minimal cost is 70 pesos, plus consultation!

Due to high fees locals have created their own “cure”, to drench their animals in motor oil because it’s cheap and easily accessible.  As you know, this is a terrible home made fix for this disease as it can easily poison the animal as they try to lick it off their skin, absorbs in through their open wounds causing blood poisoning, infection and more.

All Pets Deserve Vets will educate the communities to stop this practice.  By offering them the ivermectin at cost, it will eliminate the use of motor oil, since the proper treatment will be cheaper than motor oil.

Our Office

Everyday is a filled with dogs

We start our day with dogs that are healing before going to their foster parents. We tend to their needs and spend some time socializing with them. We then work with communicating with our volunteers from around the world. Arranging surgical supplies, flight parents and spay & neuter clinics. Then we are off to do community visits. Our work is 24/7/365.
